A26 Russians in the village
Narrator: Karl Pfeiffer Reporter: Sandra Schandl
One day Russian soldiers came to our village, called Reingers. They came in their huge trucks loaded with animals, cupboards and a lot more useful things. They stopped in the middle of the village green and got out.
At the same time our priest came out of the church. As soon as they spotted him they ran up to him and ripped off his watch.
After that they drove behind our farmhouse, unloaded a fat horse and slaughtered it. The horse had been stolen from another farmer. They carved the dead horse, the intestines, the skull and the rest they simply threw into the grass. Later my grandfather and I had to clear the place.
