I25 A house destroyed
Narrator: Maria Geron Reporter: Alberto La Rocca

In 1945 Maria Geron lived at Fratte, a small village near Padova, in a house next to the railway where lots of German trains passed by. For this reason the area was often bombed by the Allied Forces.

One day a bomb fell on the railway and hit also Maria’s house. She and her family survived just because before the bomb fell they had run out of the house and jumped into a ditch nearby and stayed there until the planes had flown away.

The house was completely destroyed and Maria felt a great anger against all kind of soldiers and against the war.
