MERCATINO PICCOLO ANTIQUARIATO
Dal 1988, ogni seconda domenica del mese, per tutto il giorno, nella piazza e nelle strade del centro storico di Castelleone si svolge il “Mercatino del Piccolo Antiquariato”.
L’iniziativa è nata grazie ad un gruppo di persone, in collaborazione con l’Amministrazione Comunale, per attirare turisti e visitatori a Castelleone e per favorire il commercio dei negozianti locali.
È organizzato da un gruppo di giovani, diretti dalla signora Pupilla Bergo, che per il suo lavoro e la sua passione, è diventata il simbolo stesso del mercatino.
Il Mercatino di Castelleone è il primo sorto nella nostra provincia: fin dall’inizio fu un successo perché furono molti i visitatori, venuti da ogni dove, che aumentarono sempre più nel corso degli anni.
Adesso si presenta come un bellissimo centro commerciale all’aperto, con decine e decine di bancarelle che vendono o scambiano libri, oggetti da collezione, oggetti di vetro, dischi e audiocassette, giochi, mobili, piccoli arredi per la casa, abiti, gioielli, …
Da un anno c’è una novità: il “Forziere dei Piccoli, che ha dato la possibilità a bambini e ragazzi di mettere in vendita o scambiare giochi, abbigliamento, libri che non si usano più. Per loro c’è uno spazio riservato e protetto. Alcuni di noi partecipano regolarmente al mercatino, realizzando piccoli guadagni. Per tutti è un gran divertimento e l’occasione per conoscere persone nuove.
LA SAGRA
Nel mese di Ottobre, contemporaneamente al mercatino, si festeggia anche la sagra del paese, con tante iniziative che ricordano le tradizioni antiche e un grandissimo luna – park.
THE ANTIQUE’S MARKETSince 1988, every second Sunday of the month, lasting all day, in the main square and streets of Castelleone’s centre town there’s the “ Antique’s Market”.
This market started on the initiative of a group of people in collaboration with the City Council, in order to draw tourists and visitors to Castelleone and to support business of local tradesmen, too.
A team of young people works for this market, but the leader is Mrs Pupilla Bergo who, because of her job and her passion for it, has become the symbol of this initiative.
Castelleone’s Antique’s Market is the first established in our Province: since the beginning it was very successful because a lot of visitors arrived in our town, coming from everywhere; the number of visitors increase each year.
Now the Market appears as a very beautiful open commercial centre, with a lot of stalls selling or bartering books, collector’s items, glass products, records and cassettes, games, clothes, pieces of jewellery, small fittings for the house, pieces of furniture, …
Since last year there is a novelty: the “Children’s Coffer”. It gives children, girls and boys, the chance to buy or to barter old games, books and clothes that children don’t use anymore. For children a special protected place is reserved. Some of us are regularly present at Market, earning pocket money. For us all is a great fun and the occasion for new meetings, too.
THE VILLAGE FESTIVAL
In the month of October, at the same time as the Market, Castelleone’s people celebrate the Village Festival. There are a lot of initiatives in remembrance of the ancient traditions of our Community and a big fun – fair for the enjoyment of children … and adults!
