In unserer Pfarre wird Mitte Oktober das Erntedankfest gefeiert.
Zu diesem Fest werden meistens am Samstag davor die Kirche und die Erntedankkrone festlich geschmückt.
Am nächsten Morgen kommen viele Leute zur Kirche. Nach kurzer Zeit läuten die Glocken und die Leute nehmen in der Kirche Platz.
Jetzt kommen die Jungscharkinder, die Ministranten und der Pfarrer.
Die Jungscharkinder tragen die Erntekrone bis vor den Altar und hinter ihnen kommen schon die Schulkinder mit den Körben voll mit Gemüse, Obst und Getreide.
Am Ende der Messe segnet der Pfarrer die Früchte.
Nach der Kirche veranstaltet der Pfarrkirchenrat ein Pfarrkaffee mit Kaffee und Kuchen, das dann alle Leute besuchen.
So feiern wir Erntedank.

In our parish thanksgiving ("Erntedankfest") is celebrated in the middle of October.
For this feast the church is decorated festively on Saturday and the thanksgiving crown is prepared.
On Sunday morning many people come to church. After a short time the bells ring and the people take seats inside the church. Now the children of a catholic youth group, the altar boys and the priest enter. The children of a catholic youth group carry the big crown decorated with different fruits and grains up to the altar and then the schoolchildren come in carrying flat baskets with vegetables, fruit and grain.
At the end of the mass the priest blesses the harvest.
After the mass the parish council often organises a brunch with coffee and cakes. All of the people enjoy that.
That`s the way we celebrate thanksgiving.
