ALCUNE FESTIVITA’ LOCALI
LA SAGRA
Ogni paese, durante l’anno, ha un giorno di festa particolare: la sagra. A Trigolo la sagra viene fatta coincidere con l’Esaltazione della Santa Croce, la terza domenica di settembre, mentre a Fiesco con la festa della Beata Vergine del Rosario, la prima domenica di ottobre.
Nei giorni che precedono la sagra, arrivano nei paesi i camion e le roulotte dei giostrai che, in breve tempo, montano giostre, bancarelle e altri divertimenti.
La sagra, che significa “festa sacra”, è una festa religiosa durante la quale tutta la comunità si riunisce in chiesa per pregare in una Santa Messa solenne.
Nel giorno della sagra c’è anche un momento di riunione con i parenti: il pranzo. Si mangiano cibi prelibati, piatti tradizionali e dolci di ogni tipo (tortelli, lasagne, cotechino, torrone …). Per i bambini la sagra è soprattutto un momento di divertimento: aspettano tutto l’anno questo giorno per salire sulle giostre e ascoltare musica a tutto volume. Le attrazioni sono diverse: autopiste, giostre volanti per grandi e piccoli, trenino ...: sembra un piccolo Luna Park! Ci sono anche alcune bancarelle che vendono dolci e giocattoli e una pesca di beneficenza organizzata all’oratorio. Solitamente durante la sagra viene allestita una mostra che espone fotografie, vecchie e recenti, del paese.

THE VILLAGE FESTIVAL
Each village, every year, has a festival day, the village festival. In Trigolo the village festival is on the third Sunday of September and is dedicated to the Exalting of the Holy Cross. In Fiesco the village festival is on the first Sunday of October and is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
During the days before the village festivals, campers and lorries with roundabouts and stalls arrive in the villages.
The festival, which means “holy feast”, is religious. The community gets together in the village church to celebrate a Holy Mass.On the day of village festival there’s also a reunion with relatives at lunchtime. People eat traditional dishes such as tortelli, lasagne, torrone, etc.. Village festivals are mainly fun for children because they go on roundabouts and listen to music at full volume. The village square looks like a funfair! There are also some stands that sell sweets and toys and a charity bazaar at the parish recreation centre. At the village festivals some people organize a photographic exibition with old and new photos of the villages.
